After that the children sang an English song “This is my country”.

The Instrumental Medley performed on the patriotic songs by the students of classes 3, 4 and 5 was really a breathtaking one. Last but not the least, the young dancers of Arwachin performed on various patriotic songs which left the audience spellbound. The program concluded with the thought provoking, encouraging and inspiring words of our respected director Mr. Sharma. He shared his valuable thoughts that if we really want to respect our nation, we should respect our elders religiously.

                          Fighting Fire

!8th August’15 saw a fire disaster mitigation drill organized for the senior students of Arwachin International School during the Clubs period. The school was paid a visit by some members of the fire department who taught the students as well as the teachers how to use fire extinguishers. They also taught the teachers and the students to recognize the different kinds of extinguishers to be used for different kinds of fire. It was an enriching as well as fascinating experience as many teachers and students tried their hands at the fire extinguishers. Our Principal Mrs Gracy Peter also witnessed the programme and appreciated the endeavour. We can now proudly say that we are now prepared to handle yet another kind of disaster. In retrospect; it also gave us an impression for life: that we are supposed to be the ones to put out our own fires.

                            Japan Education Seminar

Students of Class XI and XII of Arwachin International School attended a seminar organized by Ritsumeikan University on 6th August 2014 in the school premises. The seminar was conducted by the representatives of Ritsumeikan University, Ms Tanimoto and her Indian counterpart Ms. Priyanka Bangia from India Office.

The seminar was organized to motivate the students of Class XI and XII to go to Japan for their Higher Studies.  Our students got firsthand counseling from the delegation about the course in Policy Science, International Relations and a course in Information Science which is proposed to start in 2017.

They guided our students about the application procedure and the scholarships one can avail to enroll for these courses.

The seminar was a great success as it motivated not only the Japanese students but also the non Japanese students to consider Japan as a creditable option for their higher studies.
