A BRIDGE BETWEEN INDIA AND JAPAN

JENESYS 2015

The Arwachinians once again became a part of the JENESYS programme 2015(conducted in January 20th-26th by the Japan International Cooperation Center) to unite the two nations, their culture and people with their immense devotion towards globalization.

We the students of AIS, Sakshi Gupta (X-C), Chandni Dhawan(X-C) and Anisha Saxsena(XI-B) reached Tokyo on 20th Jan 2015. We visited places like The Imperial Palace, Asakusa, Akihabara, sky tree, etc with the members of our group comprised of 28 students. We  had an orientation about Japan, its culture and history at the Tokyo Center. In addition to that, we went to Nagoya city via bullet train which was a great experience for them.

The programme and activity plan in Japan-

*     Orientation on arrival in Japan

*     Lecture to understand Japan, keynote lecture, panel discussion

*     Visits to observe cutting-out technologies

*     Visits in Tokyo

*     Courtesy call on local government and opinion exchange.

*     Traditional culture experience and observation of historic buildings like the ‘edo castle’.

*     School exchange programme (Aichi-Nagoya) where children attended various sessions like English classes, music sessions, origami, Tea ceremony etc.

*     Home Stay(Aichi-Nagoya)

*     Workshop/Report Meeting

*     Action Plan for dissemination of information on Japan’s attraction after returning home country.

We  learnt that language can never become a barrier to convey emotions and information. The school exchange has built a mutual trust and understanding between us and the students of the same age group and a basis for future friendship and cooperation.

Japan is not only known for its technology, but also for its hospitality, and its hard working, kind and disciplined people.

We are indeed highly motivated and are definitely going to share our experiences, findings and learnings with our fellow classmates, friends, relatives, neighbours and acquaintances. Our trip to Japan have not only motivated us but also changed our mindsets with which we are ready to build a new tomorrow.
