‘Every art should become science and every science should become an art’.

Arwachin International School organized the Annual Science and Art Exhibition which showcased the work produced through collaboration between students and staff .The Arwachinians organized a series of events throughout the year, all with the aim of representing science through art.

This year’s exhibition was the fruition of a series of networking events hosted throughout the year to bring people from the scientific and artistic worlds together to collaborate in pairs, or groups to create unique artworks. The theme for classes 6-8 was ‘COUNTRIES’in which the best classes were 8B, 7B,6A and 8C; for classes 9-10 was ‘FAMOUS PERSONALITIES’  in which classes 10 B, Art & Craft department, 9C, French department and Robotics club were adjudged the best. For class 11 the theme was based on ‘SCIENCE AND COMMERCE’where the students were at their creative best. A selection of the work created, included designs for the 'perfect plant', Egyptian mummies and representations of tsunamis. There were a number of working models on display and some among them were a model depicting a foaming fountain , hydraulic crane, Archimedes screw etc.

    The Variety Entertainment 2016

The Pre- Primary Wing of Arwachin International School, Dilshad Garden, organized the Variety Entertainment Programme on 20th February 2016. Mr. Barua Director, Arwachin World Business School, Mr. Sharma Director, AIS, and Mrs. Peter, the Principal of Arwachin International School, honoured the occasion with their presence.

The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by Mrs. Peter. The theme was Spending time with childrenand the name of the play was ‘Mogli’. The play was an effort to convey the message to the parents that the children want their time more than their gifts and the applause convinced us that the message was well received by the parents. The children performed very well.

Mr. Sharma praised the efforts of the teachers and was full of admiration for the children. He too stressed on the need to spend quality time with the children and requested the parents to manage some time out of their busy schedule for their family. Mr. Sharma very strongly said that if we do not give time to our children today then they too will not have time for us tomorrow. Thus, we need to keep in mind that only the time that we spend with them today can keep us bonded with them till the end.

Mrs Peter. too emphasized on the same so that the children do not miss anything  on the emotional front and face the negatives of an emotionally imbalanced personality.

The programme was ended and the gathering dispersed after the National Anthem.

“It’s always harder to be left behind than to be the one to go” As the slideshow with all the photographs capturing the beautiful moments they spent together as students of our beloved School was being played, the quote never felt more apt!

On the 13th  February, 2016, our school witnessed its  farewell party hosted by the students of Class XI  and dedicated to the outgoing batch of Class XII students of Arwachin International School. In an emotionally surcharged atmosphere inside the auditorium of the School, the the Chief Guest, Mr. J.K. Sharma, DG(Homeguards),Delhi Police,Director, Mr.Arun Sharma, Principal, Mrs.Gracy Peter, students and teachers of the school bid adieu to the outgoing students of 2015 batch, at a grand farewell function held at the school auditorium.

The function began with the traditional Saraswati Vandana to invoke divine blessings for a bright future for this group of 38 students.. After the prayer Mr. J.K.Sharma blessed the students and spoke to them about the need to be focused and true to oneself. A colourful and entertaining cultural programme followed which enthralled the ‘seniors’. The musical skit about the years in school was very well conceived and enacted .The various dances and the inevitable bhangra were cheered loudly and greeted with a thunderous applause.

Students reminisced their fun-filled days in school and expressed how difficult it was for them to go out of the portals of their alma mater.

In a nostalgic speech, the Head Boy and Sports Captain, Kushaggra Sharmal and  M.Somanath remembered their time as school children, the various ups and down and failures and success and stressed on the importance of school life in shaping one’s destiny. They thanked the teachers for their endearing efforts in shaping up the destiny of a child and for being there when it mattered.

The Director and Principal gifted each one of them with a memento for their contribution to the school and reminded them not to forget the values inculcated in them by their parents and teachers. They also wished them good luck for their Board exams and future as well.

The bash ended with some dance and music along with cake cutting followed by lunch and wishing Good Luck for their future.
