Dussehra Celebration

The students and staff of Arwachin International School celebrated Dussehra on 27th September 2017, with great enthusiasm and energy. The chief guest of the programme was Mrs. Pushplata, the director of Arwachin School, Balbir Nagar. The students welcomed her with great warmth and a bouquet of flowers was presented to her.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, and then a dance drama was depicted in which the stories of Mahishasura and Ramayana were enacted. The students performed with great zeal and expressions. The next performance was an instrumental musical medley. The performance was so melodious that everyone was lost in its tunes. Then the students of class 4 and 5 sang the song “Ram Ji Ki Nikli Sawari”. The last performance was a graceful dance by Vatsala of 5C and Nandni of 5B on “Shri Ram Stuti”.

It was quiet evident that the students worked really hard to make this celebration memorable. Some students also spoke on the significance of Dussehra. The theme of victory of good over evil was highlighted in every performance. All the students were dressed in their best. The selection of the costumes was perfect and that acted as a cherry on the cake.

At last, our respected chief guest Mrs. Pusplata was invited to say a few words for the students. She praised the students and the mentors for their hard work. She wished a very happy Dussehra to everyone present.

                    INTER HOUSE ENGLISH DRAMA COMPETITION

"Theatre is the mirror, a sharp reflection of the society."

To prove the above quote, the Inter House English Drama Competition was held on 7th Sept'17 for the classes VII-XII in the presence of our honorable Principal Mrs. Peter. The theme of the drama was 'FAMOUS PLAYS BY DIFFERENT AUTHORS' and all the houses performed exceptionally well to convey their messages through their acts.

The performers tried to show different aspects of life and the world like materialism, greed and disrespect for elders. They showed change in one's mentality towards elderly people, transition in our lives as we grow up and the power of prayer and positivity. They not only showed the positive transformations occurring in the society but negative also. Students presented a drama in which it was depicted that we should do all the good deeds when we are alive and to have believe in God will make the life easier.

Now comes the result, where Bose house bagged the first position, followed by Shastri house, Tagore house and Tilak house. Prashant Choudhary of XII-B, Padmalaxmi VIII-A and Soumya  IX- D were adjudged best actors in male and female category respectively.

All the houses did a commendable job with their acting and successfully delivered their message to the audience.  The participants were appreciated and congratulated by Mrs. Peter. She even gave the message to the students to always believe in good and keep the good deeds up. As when we can open our minds, we can change the reality.

“A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart”

Arwachin International School celebrated the birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan in the form of Teachers’ Day on 5th September 2017. Like every year, the students of Class- XII organised the programme with great enthusiasm and zeal. The day began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by the performance of the students on stage exclusively for the teachers.

The Arwachinians exhibited their talents as a treat to the teachers. Many programmes such as dance, music, poem recitation, skits etc. dedicated to the teachers were presented by the students. The teachers were then felicitated by gifts, cards and bouquets. The students of Class XII read out exclusive messages for each and every teacher which was a memorable moment for the teachers.

The day ended with an encouraging and motivational speech by the honourable Director Mr. Sharma. Our respected principal Mrs. Gracy Peter wished the teachers and thanked the students for organizing the event beautifully and also urged the students to become good human beings like their teachers.
