Inter House Dance Competition(2017-18)

‘Dance isn't something that can be explained in words. It has to be danced’.

With the aim of honing the dancing skills of the students, an Inter House Dance Competition was organized on 28th October’17. The event was commenced with the singing of the prayer by the students. The judges : Mrs. Rohatgi, Mrs Kanika Tiwari and Mr. Sagar were welcomed with a huge round of applause.

Through dance, our children learn to work in a group in perfect coordination. Arwachinians are real stars who shine on the stage when they start dancing. To give a perfect platform to the young learners to perform, an inter house Dance Competition is held every year. The students of classes 6-12  participated in the competition. There were three rounds: Solo, Duet and Group.  The competition commenced with the solo performances that showcased classical  dances , followed by Duet round showcasing Bollywood style. All the four houses gave their hundred percent.  The participants captured the attention of the audience. The audience as well as the panel of judges:  Mrs. Rohatgi, Mr. Dilip Sagar and Mrs. Kanika Tiwari were fully engrossed in the programme. The result of the Competition is as follows:

Our honourable coordinator, Mrs. Grover, applauded the students and the teacher, Ms. Lochan Tulsi,  for their hard work. The event was concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.

    The students of Arwachin International School participated in 7th VIBGYOR Repertoire held at Arwachin Bharti BHAWAN ,Vivek Vihar on 24th October 2017. They were full of energy and enthusiasm and performed to their best in all activities. They used their creative skills in the field of art & craft and made beautiful things .They exhibited their knowledge of craft by making attractive things. Following students  succeeded in their effort and won the competition.

      The pre- primary wing of Arwachin International School, celebrated Diwali on 17.10. 17. The festival of lights began with great pomp and show. The occasion was graced by the presence of our honorable Director Mr. Arun Sharma and our respected Principal, Mrs Gracy Peter. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. It was an auspicious beginning.

      The programme began with ‘Laxmi- Ganesh  vandana’ and a song by the tiny tots of LKG ‘Aaee hai Diwali’.  Next was the ‘Alphabet Ramayana’ , by the children of UKG. It was followed by an enchanting song, ‘Jag mein sunder hain do naam’  by Soham Sachdeva  of  UKG - B. After this , was a mesmerizing recitation by the little ones of LKG, ‘Diwali Night’.  It was succeeded by a very enticing dance by the tiny tots of LKG on ‘Mere Tumhare, Sabke Liye’.  Everyone was amazed by ‘Shri Ram Stuti ‘, sung by Shivansh of  UKG - B and a mime on various episodes of Ramayana by the UKG children . The last and definitely not the least,  was a very enchanting dance by the students of  UKG on ‘Diwali Aayee’.

      Mr. Sharma and Mrs. Peter were very pleased by the performances and praised the participants for the same. They wished everyone a very Happy Diwali and after the National Anthem, the day was called.

        Sparkling Diwali

        Arwachin International School, Dilshad Garden, celebrated Diwali assembly on October 17, 2017, with lot of festive fervour. Mr. Arun Sharma, our honourable director, and Mrs. Peter, Our respected Principal, graced the occasion. The lighting of the lamp marked the auspicious beginning of the programme. The auditorium was filled with serenity when the students chanted the shloka ‘

        Vakratunda Mahakaya’. The young instrumentalists stole everyone’s heart by playing melodious tunes of various devotional songs. The song ‘Mile hain chiragon se’ sung by the choir was well appreciated by all. The highlight of the assembly was the message of    ‘ Say no to crackers’ which was sent loud and clear through a drama, a video and a speech given by the anchor of the show. The emphasis was to spread the message of Celebrating Eco friendly Diwali. The young dancers danced to the tunes of a song to seek the blessings of Lord Ganpati.

        In the final address, Mr Sharma and Mrs. Peter stressed on the need to celebrate clean and green Diwali to save our environment. They insisted on a dust free, smoke free and pollution free Diwali. They wished and blessed the entire school community to prosper.

        Finally the programme came to an end with the singing of the National Anthem.

          “ Cracker free Diwali, Green Diwali”

          The festival of lights – Diwali is one of the  most significant festival celebrated in India. The preparations of it have  already begun. By observing the impact of crackers on our environment, the Supreme  Court has  banned bursting crackers this Diwali.

           The  students of Japanese  language  of Class 4  enthusiastically  participated in “ Cracker free Diwali, Green Diwali” campaign as well. They made  creative  posters on “ Say no to Crackers “ and  wrote  messages in Japanese under the guidance  of the Japanese language teacher. They enjoyed and had lots of fun with their creative ideas , which they displayed on the posters.

          The students are now highly motivated to celebrate a green Diwali, where  I hope, there will be an explosion of joy, not  crackers.

            The Diwali special assembly for primary section was celebrated on 16th October, 2017 with great enthusiasm. Students of classes 1-5 gathered in the school auditorium for the program. The program began with the lighting of the lamp by our respected Principal, Mrs. Peter.

            The program started with the Instrumental Medley performed on the various songs by the students of classes 3, 4 and 5 was really a breathtaking one. Then the students of class 5D spread the message of love and happiness by singing the song ‘Aai hai Diwali’. The students of classes 4 and 5 presented a ‘Street play’ titled “Green Diwali”, which inspired the students to Celebrate a pollution free Diwali.

            After this, a dance medley on the various songs was showcased by the young dancers of Arwachin to show our devotion towards Lord Ganesha. At the end, our respected Principal, Mrs. Peter concluded the program by telling the significance of Green Diwali. She encouraged the students to celebrate Diwali in an eco-friendly manner and to say “No to Crackers”.

              “In crafting there are no mistakes only unique creations.”

              Arwachin International School organized the ‘Card- Making Competition’ on 11th October, 2017 for the classes 1-5 to enhance the creative skills of the students. The theme of the competition was ‘Seasonal Greetings’. The students used their power of imagination and created beautiful greetings.

              Various motifs, cutwork, patch work and craft techniques, learnt in the craft classes, were used by the students to give shape to their creativity. Lot of students used 3-D effects in the cards to make it more attractive. The teachers encouraged the students to use waste material to decorate their cards. All the students gave their best to create a unique piece of art.

              Each student participated in the competition enthusiastically to make it a success.
