Sanskrit Bharti has organized a seminar on the topic ‘Women Sanskrit Scholars of Delhi’ on 19th may 2019 at Sri Lal Bhahadur Shastri Vidyapeeth. Representing our school Mrs Radha Sharma attended the seminar and presented her research paper on the topic.

The seminar was prescribed over by Mr Ramesh Kumar Pandey, the Chancellor of Sri Lal Bhadur Shastri Vidyapeeth and he presented Mrs Sharma a certificate as a token of appreciation.

    NIE International Education Workshop

    In our endeavour to equip our young students and to prepare them to face the fierce competition, the young minds need to absorb knowledge in such a manner that will help them develop critical thinking. Keeping this goal in mind we joined our hands with Times NIE team to guide us to open up a whole new world of knowledge for our children.

     Observing that there is an imperative need to educate our students about the options to study abroad after class 12th, to help them explore and find a suitable course in the desired university/college, Times NIE team conducted the ‘International Education Workshop’ in our school premises on 17th May 2019, Friday from 8:00 am to 9:30 am. The workshop was help for all students of classes 11th and 12th irrespective of the streams. The workshop broadly covered information about the top universities, ranking and prerequisites like SAT, profile development, essay writing, timelines etc.

     As our resource person we had Mr. Reeturaj Goswami who is an Engineer by Qualification and has successfully worked in companies such as Wipro and Optus. He moved into the field of education to help and guide the students to find great options to study in top universities worldwide.

    It was truly a very informative session and we whole heartedly thank our Principal and Times NIE team for this opportunity.

      Adventure sports bring us immense fun and does significantly good to everyone facilitating all round development of the children.

      An Adventure Camp was organized for the students of classes  4-12 from 12th  May to 16th  May,2019 at The Eternity Retreat Resort, Itharana located in the majestic hills of Uttarakhand in the foothills of the Himalayas.

      It was the place where children connected themselves with nature, relaxed and enjoyed plenty of exciting adventurous activities such as Mountain trekking,  village walk, sky walk, valley crossing, zip line, commando net, along with fun based team building games, Yoga and meditation under the supervision of  professional instructors and their school teachers. It was a life time experience for every child and was highly appreciated by the parents. The camp was a great success.

        International Informatics Olympiad

        Arwachin International School has been training students in computing skills since the beginning of their school life. Our students have always been good at handling technology and have achieved varied excellence in the same field. Following the trend, we have been participating in the International Informatics Olympiad since the past six years.

        This year Himagn Gupta of class 6 has achieved third rank at the state level in the Olympiad. He has been awarded with a gift prize and a medal.

        We are proud of him and hope that he keeps achieving similar credits in the following years.

          The Hindustan Times organized a movie show for the students of Class 4 on 13th May, 2019. The movie ‘Kesari’ was shown to the kids. They got to know about an important phase in the history of Indian freedom struggle. All the students enjoyed the movie and the food. The day broke the monotony from the daily routine and proved to be joyful and relaxing.

            On 10th May, 2019, our Japanese teachers, Mrs. Jain and Mrs. Kaur attended a workshop organized by JALSTA (Japanese Language School Teachers Association) with the support of the CBSE and the Japan Foundation at Japan Foundation, New Delhi (JFND).

            The main objective of this workshop was to discuss changes in the curriculum and CBSE exam formats with Dr. Biswajit Saha Director (Skill Education & Training) CBSE.

            New language advisor, Ms Imoto , who recently joined Japan Foundation. She guided Japanese language teachers about PBL (Project Based Learning) as a part of CBSE curriculum 2019-20 and polite forms as a part of spoken Japanese.

            The teachers also got the chance to refresh their knowledge about particles in Japanese language by Anju Raghav, the teacher at Japan Foundation.

              The students of Arwachin International School took part in an inter-school annual fest named SANGAM: A multitude of Language (2019-20) organized by Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad on 4th May 2019.

              The programme started with few dance performances presented by the students of the host school and was followed by many competitions. All the students participated in the different competitions with great enthusiasm.

              For French and Japanese language a cultural ramp walk (classes IV-VI) and umbrella painting (classes VII-VIII) and ‘Pratiyogita Paridhan’(classes IV-VI) and ‘Geet Gyan’ in Sanskrit Language and a quiz competition(Classes IX-X) in French, Japanese and Sanskrit languages. The Arwachin secured a lot of position in all the competition.

              Overall, the whole fest turned out to be an enriching and unforgettable event for the students.

                The students of Arwachin International School participated in an array of activities organized in Bal Bharti Public School, Indraprastha on 2nd and 3rd May, 2019. Forty students plunged into action ranging from Art Expression, Bamboo designing, English declamation to Clay Artist, HTML designing etc. The result is as follows:

                1.      Sparsh Kumar (8A) and Rudra Verma  (8 B) bagged third position in ROBO Race.

                2.      Riya Shah, Armaan Pathak, Mayank Tomar, Bhoomi Gaba (5 A), Jenya Bhikhan (5B), Navya Narula (5 C) and Aarush Gupta (4 A) made us proud by securing the first position in Ankahi Kahaniyan.

                3.      Anshika Sharma and Charan Kaur of 8 A also acquired the first place in Mathonopoly.

                4.      Ansh Kumar (8 B) procured third position in Turn Coat.

                5.      Shreejita (1 B) secured third position in Clay Art.

                This competition provided a great exposure to the Arwachinians.

                                                           Students of classes 10 and 12 participated in a survey as a part of the project – ‘Preserving Our Biosphere- Understanding Science Then and Now’ conducted under the guidance of Millennium India Education Foundation with the support of NCSTC-DST.

                                    Students conducted a field research by collecting the data about the presence of flora and fauna in an area of 2.5 km2 around the school. The data was compared with the same in Delhi in early 1950’s-60’s. The team proposed innovative and implementable concepts to regenerate and preserve the biodiversity of the state.

                                                                             A lecture on the same topic was organized in the school by Dr. J.K Nautiyal from Delhi University on 22nd January 2019 for the students of classes 8,9 and 11. The survey was successfully completed . The participants were rewarded with certificates and the school won a special award for their extraordinary effort which was very motivating for them.
