God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal faith’

            - (John Apostle 3:16,Bible)

Christmas is the time to cherish peace, mercy, love, faith and celebrate the coming of a new year with new hopes. With these wonderful thoughts, the primary wing of Arwachin International School celebrated Christmas on 22nd December, 2018 in the school premises. Our respected Principal ma’am, Mrs. Swapna Nair and esteemed chief- guest, Ms. Florine Passeron marked the opening of the event by lighting the glorious lamp. Ms. Passeron has done a lot of admirable work in the field of tourism. The school honoured the distinguished chief-guest for rendering her valuable time with us, by presenting a token of gratitude.

The show began with a blissful prayer sang by the students of class 4- ‘Teri Aaradhana Karoon’. The prayer echoed the message that eternal belief in God is the true spirit of life. Next in the row were the budding actors of our school who recreated the events of birth of Lord Jesus Christ by showcasing the drama named-‘Nativity’. The acting skills of the students took us to the era-Before Christ.

Followed by this was a melodious medley of Christmas songs in English and Hindi. The young singers made the surrounding joyful with the delightful songs. Then the students played various instruments on the tune of the famous songs- ‘Merry Christmas’ and ‘Jingle Bells’. The beautiful programme came to an end with an energetic dance performance presented by the students of classes 1-5. The dance moves of the tiny tots reflected the joy of Lord Jesus Christ’s birth.

At last, our respected Principal ma’am, Mrs. Swapna Nair motivated all the participants and made the students aware about the true spirit of Christmas by sharing her words of wisdom.

“A good story can imbibe the right values in the most impressionable age”

Arwachin international School organized an event for an interaction with Grand Parents  to build healthy relationship. The event was divided into different categories such as Story Telling, Cooking, DIY (Art & Craft) and the first one was Story Telling  for LKG and UKG.

The story telling sessions were conducted by our grandparents  Mr. Nautiyal (Grandfather of Aarshika Nautiyal) and Mr. Maithani (Grandfather of Aanya Maithani)  on 14th December. The grandfathers’ narrated the stories from “Panchtantra tales” and the stories were “The lion and the mouse” and “The foolish Monkey”. It was an interactive session which was thoroughly enjoyed by the students. Mrs. Nair graced the occasion with her presence. Our children really need to hear such stories from the grandparents so that they have an overview of our tradition and culture. The very purpose of the sessions is the involvement of grandparents as support system to our education system, that helps our tiny tots to remain rooted to their culture.

“We all are born as empty vessels, which can be shaped by our Moral values.”

The students of class 5C presented Interactive assembly on 5th December, 2018. The theme was MORAL VALUES. Imbibing good moral values makes a person a good human being.

A thankful heart will value people more than things, it will value a smile more than riches, it will find joy in giving than grabbing. Keeping these values in mind, the children sang a prayer ‘Everything I am’. It was a heart touching performance.

Sharing is the master key to success, in all applications of human life.” “For it is in giving that we receive.” The next group performed a role play ‘Sharing is Caring’. The audience was thrilled with performance of the students.

Nothing is worth it if you are not happy. Happiness is a feeling of pleasure and positivity. The last group presented a dance. The students performed to the energetic music of the song ‘I am Happy’ by Pharrell Williams, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

Plantation Drive -an Eco club activity

Arwachin International School has initiated a small step to create and develop awareness and a sense of ecological environment among our students. It is also a noble responsibility to inculcate  the benefits of raising plantation, kitchen garden etc in a student’s mind and to take different biodiversity improvement measures through different activities of our eco-club.

This idea was encouraged and enhanced by the Principal, Mrs.Swapna Nair. A plantation programme was conducted in the school on 4th of Dec’2018. The students and the teachers of the Eco-Club along with the principal planted different kinds of saplings outside the school campus.

A bamboo fence was also constructed to encourage the vertical garden in the premises as an Eco development  programme as per the guidelines and instruction of the state government and the central government.

The students of class 7A presented their Interactive assembly on 1st December, 2018. The theme was ‘HEALTHY ARWACHINIANS, HEALTHY INDIA’.

According to World Health Organisation, “Better health is central to human happiness and well-being. It also makes an important contribution to economic progress, as healthy population live longer, is more productive, and save more.”

The interactive assembly started with a discussion on ‘Importance of good health and how to maintain a healthy life’. It was followed by introducing Master Sehat and Miss Sehat as the health mascot of the school who busted the myths related to healthy eating habits. Some charts were shown highlighting the importance of checking the contents before buying any product from the market. As we all know that our market is full of adulterated products, it becomes difficult for us to differentiate between the pure and adulterated products. The students demonstrated a number of experiments to find out the pure products. Keeping in mind the theme of the assembly, the students presented a NUKKAR NATAK to educate the masses.

Since we live in an adulterated world, it becomes more important for us to focus on our health. This message was successfully portrayed by the students of 7A. The Interactive assembly was thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by the Principal and the audience.
