BIDDING ADIEU TO CLASS 12
“It’s always harder to be left behind than to be the one to
go” As the slideshow with all the
photographs capturing the beautiful moments they spent together as students of
our beloved School was being played, the quote never felt more apt!
On the 13th
February, 2016, our school
witnessed its farewell party hosted by
the students of Class XI and dedicated to the outgoing batch of Class
XII students of Arwachin International School. In an
emotionally surcharged atmosphere inside the auditorium of the School, the the
Chief Guest, Mr. J.K. Sharma, DG(Homeguards),Delhi Police,Director, Mr.Arun Sharma, Principal, Mrs.Gracy Peter, students and
teachers of the school bid adieu to the outgoing students of 2015
batch, at a grand farewell function held at the school auditorium.
The
function began with the traditional Saraswati Vandana to invoke divine
blessings for a bright future for this group of 38 students.. After the prayer Mr. J.K.Sharma blessed the
students and spoke to them about the need to be focused and true to oneself. A
colourful and entertaining cultural programme followed which enthralled the
‘seniors’. The musical skit about the years in school was very well conceived
and enacted .The various dances and the inevitable bhangra were cheered loudly
and greeted with a thunderous applause.
Students reminisced their fun-filled days in school
and expressed how difficult it was for them to go out of the portals of their
alma mater.
In a nostalgic speech, the Head Boy and Sports Captain,
Kushaggra Sharmal and M.Somanath remembered their time as
school children, the various ups and down and failures and success and stressed
on the importance of school life in shaping one’s destiny. They thanked the
teachers for their endearing efforts in shaping up the destiny of a child and
for being there when it mattered.
The Director and Principal gifted each one of them
with a memento for their contribution to the school and reminded them not to
forget the values inculcated in them by their parents and teachers. They also
wished them good luck for their Board exams and future as well.
The bash ended with some dance and music along with
cake cutting followed by lunch and wishing Good Luck for their future.
