    REPORT ON ORIENTATION

    The orientation of LKG students was held on 24 Mar’25 in Arwachin International School. The program aimed to welcome the new students and their parents to the school community, provided an overview of the school’s policies and procedures, and offer guidance on how to support the child’s transition to formal schooling.

    The program began with a warm welcome by the Coordinator, Ms. Natasha Sharma, who introduced the school’s mission, vision, and values. The LKG teachers then provided an overview of the curriculum and assessment methods, highlighting the key learning objectives and outcomes. The school’s policies and procedures were outlined, including those related to attendance, discipline, and communication.

    A special session on parenting tips was also conducted by our Conselor Ms. Nitika who shared valuable insights and advice on how to support children’s social, emotional and academic development.

    The parents were also provided with the information on the school’s extracurricular activities and how to get involved. The program concluded with the words of wisdom by the principal, Mrs. Ruchira Bhatnagar, providing the parents with valuable information and guidance.

      The orientation session for the new academic session (2025-26) was conducted by the Coordinator and Principal on 13 March and 22 March. The session aimed to provide insights to parents about the school's rules, guidelines, subject choices, exam, and assessment patterns.

      The session began with a warm welcome by the Coordinator, who introduced the school's vision, mission, and values. She provided a detailed overview of the school's rules and guidelines. Parents were informed about the importance of punctuality, attendance, and discipline.

      The Coordinator also explained the subject choices available for the new session, including the elective subjects and the assessment criteria. Parents were provided with information about the exam pattern, including the frequency and format of assessments.

      The Principal then addressed the parents, emphasizing the importance of parental involvement in their child's education. Parents were encouraged to stay in touch with the school and to communicate regularly with teachers.

      The session concluded with a question-and-answer session, where parents had the opportunity to clarify their doubts and concerns. The Principal and Coordinator responded to the queries, providing detailed explanations.

      The orientation session was a resounding success, with parents appreciating the informative and interactive nature of the session. The school's commitment to transparency and communication was evident throughout the session.

        Every school aims at the holistic development of a child which is possible only when parents and teachers form a strong partnership.

        Keeping this in mind, an ‘Orientation Programme’ was organized at Arwachin International School for the parents of class II students, for a smooth transition from the Foundation Wing to the Preparatory Wing.

        The event began with a welcome address, followed by an introduction to faculty and school facilities. The coordinator of the Preparatory Wing, Mrs. Surya Laxmi briefed the parents about the school’s policies and guidelines, club system, various co-scholastic activities and the assessments.

        The program concluded with encouraging words from the principal Mrs. Ruchira Bhatnagar, ensuring a smooth transition for the young learners. The program established a positive tone for the new academic year, emphasizing teamwork and communication between parents, teachers and students.

The program aimed to familiarize the parents with the school environment, academic curriculum, and teaching methodologies. The event began with a welcome address, followed by an introduction to faculty and school facilities The coordinator of the Foundation Wing, Ms. Natasha Sharma provided an overview of the subjects, teaching strategies, and the assessment methods. The emphasis was on activity-based learning to make education enjoyable for young learners.Parents had an opportunity to ask questions and clarify doubts regarding school policies, daily routines, and student support services.             On 8 March, 2025, Arwachin International School organized an exciting fun filled adventure camp within the school premises to mark the end of the session 2024-25 for classes LKG to 1. The camp featured a wide range of 13-14 engaging activities, providing the children with numerous opportunities for physical activity and teamwork. Some of the thrilling activities included zip lining, hopscotch, tyre tower, and the zorb roller, which kept the little adventurers entertained throughout the day.

            A special highlight of the day was the community lunch, where the students were encouraged to share their food with their friends. This activity was designed to teach them the value of sharing.

             Overall, the Adventure Camp was a great success, with the students thoroughly enjoying themselves while learning important life skills. It was a day of laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories.

              The National Conference on Contemporary School Mental Health Initiatives, held on the 27th and 28th of February 2025 at Moolchand Medcity Hospital in New Delhi, was organized by Expressions India, a leading organization in promoting mental health awareness and educational wellness. The event was attended by Mrs. Aafreen Sarfaraz, school counselor. It aimed to explore innovative approaches to addressing the growing concerns of student mental health in schools across India. The conference brought together educators, mental health professionals, policy experts, and researchers to share insights, collaborate on solutions, and discuss the urgent need for effective school-based mental health programs.

              The theme of the conference emphasized the importance of integrating mental health initiatives into the core structure of schools and creating a more supportive environment for students' emotional, psychological, and social well-being. The event also provided a platform for networking among professionals in the field of school mental health and developing actionable solutions.

              The insights shared during the conference underscored the urgent need for a collaborative, comprehensive, and sustained effort to prioritize mental well-being in educational settings.

              As the conference concluded, participants left with a renewed sense of responsibility to advocate for better mental health services, improve school environments, and equip students with the tools they need to navigate the challenges of adolescence and beyond. The outcomes of this conference will serve as a catalyst for the development and implementation of effective school mental health initiatives across the nation.

                We are proud to announce that the NCC cadets from Arwachin International School participated in the prestigious B Certificate Exam held at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Delhi, on 2nd March 2025. The cadets demonstrated their remarkable skills through a rigorous assessment that included a written test as well as practical tests in various disciplines such as drill, field craft, battle craft, map reading, rifle assembly and disassembly, and fitness challenges.

                Their exceptional performance showcased the discipline, focus, and dedication that are the hallmarks of our NCC program. These cadets have certainly set the stage for a bright future ahead, with many future officers in the making.

                  AAHWAAN: EMPOWERING EDUCATORS FOR MENTAL WELL-BEING

                  In light of the rising mental health concerns among students, it has become the need of the hour to equip educators with the tools, knowledge, and strategies needed to support student’s emotional and mental health effectively. The Institute of Human Behavior and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) organized a workshop on the topic “Aahwaan: Empowering Educators for Mental Well-Being” on 22nd February 2025. The workshop was attended by Mrs. Sangita Sharma, Mrs. Surya Laxmi, Mrs. Manisha Sen, Mrs. Arti Tyagi, Mrs. Aafreen Sarfaraz and Ms. Prachi Tyagi from Arwachin International School.

                  The workshop aimed to bring together educators, mental health professionals, and stakeholders to collaboratively develop a module focused on reducing suicidal tendencies among school-going children and promoting overall well-being.

                  The event also underscored the critical role that educators play in identifying mental health issues early and fostering a safe, supportive environment within schools. It provided an opportunity for educators to gain practical insights into how they can contribute to preventing mental health crisis among children, including suicide, and promoting long-term well-being.

                  The workshop was structured into several interactive sessions, including presentations, group discussions, role-plays, and expert talks. These sessions were aimed at helping educators understand the signs of suicidal tendencies in children and develop practical strategies to address them. It gave the teachers essential tools which will serve as excellent resources for educators to implement in their classrooms, ensuring that they are equipped to help students navigate the challenges of adolescence in a healthy, supportive way.

                    JALSTA, with the support of the Japan Foundation, New Delhi (JFND), organized an online Japanese language workshop on February 21, 2025. It was attended by our Japanese language teachers, Mrs. Vandana Jain and Ms. Mimansa Thapliyal.

                     

                    The workshop began with an interactive session by Ms. Nitasha Sharma from JFND.  She spoke on the topic “Change in Society and Japanese language education” highlighting the importance of 21st century skills which are necessary to teach Japanese language in the present scenario.

                     

                    Next, Ms. Shristi Sachar, who participated in the Teacher Training Program in Japan in 2024, shared her experiences followed by a Q & A session.

                     

                    Our faculty, Mrs. Vandana Jain also presented on the topic “Let’s write on Instagram in Japanese language.”

                     

                    Overall, it was an insightful and interactive workshop.
