SUCCESSFUL TREE PLANTATION DRIVE AT ARWACHIN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

On July 9, 2024, Arwachin International School hosted a highly successful tree plantation drive, with active participation from students of classes III to V. This initiative aimed to enhance our school’s green spaces and foster a sense of environmental responsibility among our younger students.

Throughout the day, students enthusiastically planted diverse selection of plants, including vibrant hibiscus, fragrant rose bushes, and aromatic curry leaf plants. In total, between 25 and 30 trees were planted along the school garden corridors. This strategic planting not only contributes to the aesthetic appeal of our campus but also plays a crucial role in promoting a sustainable environment. The event began with a brief educational session where students learned about the importance of each plant type, their environmental benefits, and proper planting techniques. This was followed by hands-on planting activities, where students eagerly took turns digging, planting, and watering the new additions to our garden. The enthusiasm and teamwork displayed by the students were truly inspiring.

This tree plantation drive is part of our ongoing commitment to environmental education and sustainability. We believe that engaging students in such activities helps them to develop a lifelong appreciation for nature and encourages them to be proactive in environmental conservation. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the students, teachers, and staff who made this event a success. Together, we are taking meaningful steps towards a greener and more sustainable future.
