Interactive assembly of class 6A Class 6A presented a captivating interactive assembly commemorating Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra, showcasing their talents through energetic dance performances and soulful songs. The students performed a dance on the song “salaam India” honoring unity of India, a song embodying Gandhian principles ("Vasudeva Kutumbakam"), and a prayer ("Raghupati Raghav Rajaram") to celebrate Dussehra's spirit. Students' hard work and efforts were praised by respected principal ma’am Mrs. Ruchira Bhatnagar. The assembly was concluded with a poignant rendition of the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with patriotism and unity, leaving a lasting impression on the audiences

    INTERACTIVE ASSEMBLY OF CLASS 5-CAVE ENVIRONMENT

     

     

    The students of class 5C conducted an interactive assembly on the theme "Save Environment" to raise awareness about protecting our environment from pollution. The assemnbly featured a fun nukkad natak or street play, where students acted out and showcased about the harmful effects of pollution on our lives and highlighted the importance of taking care of our planet. They also recited a heartfelt poem celebrating nature's beauty and encouraging everyone to help preserve it. The highlight of the event was a vibrant dance performance that conveyed the message of reduce, reuse, and recycle. Also, encouraged everyone to say no to plastic. All the students took a pledge to celebrate a Green Diwali, promising to use eco-friendly practices like avoiding firecrackers and choosing biodegradable decorations.

    Overall, the assembly was a great success, motivating everyone to make better choices for the environment.

    Mrs. Bhatnagar, the Principal, praised the students' efforts and encouraged them to continue spreading their enthusiasm for environmental care.

      The Foundational wing of Arwachin International School, celebrated Diwali on 29.10.2024. The festival of lights began with great pomp and show. The occasion was graced by the presence of our honorable Principal, Mrs. Bhatnagar. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. It was an auspicious beginning. The programme began with ‘Shri Ganesh  Aarti’ sung by the students of Class 2, which was followed by an enticing dance by the students of class -1. The students of UKG presented a dance drama to show why we celebrate Diwali. It was followed by a dance by the tiny ones of LKG. The children of class -2 presented a very beautiful ‘Dance Drama’ on the coronation of Shri Ram. The last and definitely not the least, was a very energetic dance medley by the students of Class 1.  

      The assembly was concluded with the closing remarks of our respected Principal Ma’am. She praised the students for their enthusiasm and presenting a wonderful assembly.

        INTER HOUSE INDIAN MUSIC COMPETITION

        INTER HOUSE INDIAN MUSIC COMPETITION

        Arwachin International School organised the Inter-House Indian Music Competition on 28th October 2024. The competition aimed at developing aesthetic values and bringing out the young musical talents of our school. The competition was adjudged by Mrs. Shivani Sharma and Mrs. Lochan Chaudhary.

        The competition featured three categories: Solo Classical Raag Singing, Duet Bhajan Singing, and Group Prayer Song Performances. Each house participated with dedication, showcasing a variety of Indian Raagas and Bhajans, highlighting the musical diversity and cultural richness of our country. Each and every performance was extremely melodious that enthralled the audience..

        The result of the competition is as follows:

        Solo Performance: Tanvi Manglani of Tilak House stood first, followed by Navya Bhatia of Bose House and Chaitanya Dev of Tagore House respectively.

        Duet perfomace: Samarth and Shreya of Bose House bagged the first position, followed by Taniya and Sanskriti Agarwal of Tagore House. Ishaan and Nabhij of Tagore House bagged the third postion.

        Group Performance: Shastri House secured the first position, followed by Tilak, Bose and Tagore respectively.

        The Inter-House Indian Music Competition was a celebration of musical talent and a reminder of the cultural heritage that each participant so beautifully represented. The event concluded with the Principal Mrs. Bhatnagar expressing heartfelt appreciation for all participants and teachers. The competition left everyone with a renewed love for Indian classical and devotional music.

          Karate belt examination was held at Arwachin International School on 28th October 2024. The programme was organised by National Karate Federation under the Supervision of Sensei Jitesh.  Fifty eight students from Arwachin International School participated in orange belt, yellow Belt, green Belt, purple Belt & brown belt examination. Additionally a few students from other schools also participated. Mohd. Umar 4D and Kartik Aggarwal 5A impressed Sensei with their wonderful performances.

          Sensei advised students to focus on the Katas , as  Kata is the assemble of the techniques. “There is no Karate without Kata,” he emphasized.

            On 26 October, 2024 a workshop on Enpowering and Capacity Building Programme for Foundational Stage was conducted by Oxford. The Resource Person of the workshop was Ms. Sonia Relia. It was attended by our foundation teachers- Ms. Natasha Sharma, Ms. Jyoti Yadav and Ms. Janvi Khurana.

            The Workshop aimed to revolutionize the foundational stage of education by introducing Activity-Based Learning (ABL) in classrooms. This innovative approach focuses on holistic development through The Panchakosha Vikas: The Five-fold Development, encompasses the  Panchaadi and diverse learning domains. The programme equipped the educators with effective management strategies for activities that foster various competencies. 
            It focussed on creating a Dynamic wall in the classrooms which serves a lot many purposes taking into account all the subjects. The use of various Teaching Learning aid like Bead Mala, Flash cards, Patterns while learning etc were also included. 
            The Programme aimed to transform the foundational stage education by embracing Activity-Based Learning, kinesthetic methods, and The Panchakosha Vikas. By empowering educators and focusing on holistic development, we can create a more engaging, effective, and sustainable learning environment.

              The school successfully conducted an Inter House G.K. Quiz for classes III-V on 25th October, 2024. The grilling Quiz of three rounds tested the awareness of the participants. Rules and regulations of the quiz were explained at the beginning of each round.

              The participants had to go through mazes of intuited and mind boggling rounds that enabled them to think and apply what they have learned so far. It was an informative and knowledge enriching competition for the participants as well as the audience.

                On October 24, an engaging workshop on wellness for classes 3 to 6 was conducted by Hindustan Times. The session, led by Ms. Smriti Jain, Science Department Executive, focused on promoting good health through awareness about gut health, drawing on her two years of experience with Yakult. The workshop aimed to enhance students' understanding of food, diet, and nutrition, highlighting their importance in daily life.

                The workshop commenced with an explanation of basic concepts related to food and nutrition. Ms. Jain elaborated on the digestive system and the significance of a balanced diet, emphasizing the importance of "eating right." She discussed various types of nutrients essential for maintaining good health.

                A key component of the workshop was the introduction of the "My Plate" model by ICMR, which visually represents the ideal portions of different food groups. Ms. Jain also provided insights into the role of good bacteria and the benefits of Probiotics, fostering a deeper understanding of gut health.

                The session was highly interactive, with students asking questions and engaging in discussions.

                Respected Coordinator, Mrs. Laxmi, encouraged students to practice the principles learned in their daily lives, motivating them to prioritize wellness.

                Overall, the workshop successfully emphasized the importance of nutrition and wellness, leaving students motivated to apply what they learned.

                  On October 23,2024 Class 6B celebrated World Food Day with an insightful and engaging program. The program emphasized the importance of food, reducing wastage, and protecting the environment. The event began with a speech on the importance of food, highlighting the critical role that food plays in sustaining life and the need to ensure its availability for all.

                  Students performed a role play on the theme of “No Wastage of Food,” creatively showcasing the impact of food waste and ways to minimize it in our daily lives. This was followed by a poem recitation on the importance of food, emphasizing its value in our health and happiness.

                  To further commit to the cause, the students took a pledge to reduce food wastage and vowed to honour the principles of World Food Day. The event concluded with urging the students for the urgent need for sustainable practices.

                  Mrs. Grover, the academic coordinator, expressed her appreciation for the students’ efforts and shared her views on the significance of mindful food consumption and environmental care.                     Arwachin International School had the honour of welcoming a distinguished delegation of officials from the Japan Foundation and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on October 22, 2024. The delegation included Mr. Toru Nakajima, Japanese Language Advisor, along with Ms.PolinaHaga and Ms.AyaIshibashi, Program Officer from the Japan Foundation, Tokyo, and Mr. Taisei Toyomaru, Director, and Ms. Chiaki Suzuki, Japanese Language Advisor, from the Japan Foundation, New Delhi. The purpose of their visit was to provide detailed information about the short-term and long-term Nihongo Partners Programme and explore the feasibility of implementing it at Arwachin International School.

                    Mr.Kuniaki and Mr. Joy from JICA also joined the delegation and contributed valuable insights to the discussion.

                    During the visit, the officials from the Japan Foundation, along with the JICA representatives, observed a Japanese language class of the students from Class 12. They interacted with the students and engaged in discussions about their experiences of learning Japanese.

                    Following the class observation, our esteemed Principal, Ms.RuchiraBhatnagar, welcomed and felicitated the guests. The Principal expressed her gratitude for the ongoing efforts of the Japan Foundation and JICAto promote Japanese language and culture, emphasizing that the Nihongo Partners Programme would greatly benefit the students.

                    It was also agreed that a short-term cultural exchange programme would be conducted at Arwachin International School on November 11, 2024, allowing students to gain hands-on experience with Japanese culture, guided by Nihongo Partners.

                    The school is enthusiastic about the potential impact of the Nihongo Partners Programme and looks forward to continued collaboration with both organizations.

                        On October 21, 2024, the students of class 3A conducted the Interactive Assembly that focused on a significant theme: Diwali- ‘The Festival of Lights’. The event commenced with a heartfelt prayer followed by the Thought of the Day and News Headlines.

                        One of the key highlights of the assembly was a street play titled "Say No to Crackers," where a group of students skillfully conveyed the message of celebrating an eco-friendly Diwali. The play emphasized the harmful effects of firecrackers on the environment and health, motivating the audience to opt for greener and safer alternatives. In addition to the street play, students recited a poem also dedicated to the festival, capturing the joy and festivity of Diwali while promoting values of harmony and light over darkness. A speech on Diwali further enriched the assembly, where the student shared the history, rituals, and the cultural importance of the festival, reminding everyone of the essence of victory of good over evil.

                        The assembly also featured vibrant group dance performances by both the girls and boys. These energetic performances reflected the spirit of celebration and unity, keeping the audience enthralled.

                        Our coordinator, Mrs. Laxmi, expressed her appreciation for the students' efforts and creativity. She commended their performances and encouraged everyone to celebrate Diwali with love, joy and environmental consciousness. Her motivating words inspired the students to embrace the true spirit of the festival while being mindful of the environment.                           The Inter House General Knowledge Quiz Competition was held on 21 October 2024 to bring out the intellectual prowess of students from the four houses. Each house is comprised of 5 participants. The event aimed to foster a spirit of healthy competition and enhance the general knowledge of participants. The quiz consisted of three exciting rounds:

                          1. Round One: Do you know?
                            • The round consisted of multiple-choice questions covering a wide range of topics, including Science and technology, Art and culture, Sports and Literature.
                          2. Round Two: Visual Round
                            • This round featured quick questions, requiring teams to answer within a limited time.
                            • Each correct answer added points to the house’s total score.
                          3. Round Three: Logical Reasoning Round
                            • The final round consisted of logical reasoning questions where each team showcased their quick thinking and knowledge.  

                          After an intense battle of wits and knowledge, Shastri house won the competition. The 1st Runner-Up was Tilak House, followed by Tagore House and Bose House respectively. The enthusiasm displayed by participants and the support from the audience made the event memorable. All the students were motivated and encouraged to read newspaper and enhance their knowledge.

                            ‘An informed community is a safer community.’

                            On October 21, 2024, the National Science Centre hosted a one day Capacity Building Program in collaboration with CBSE to launch four comprehensive manuals on the POCSO Act, 2012.  

                            Ms. Prachi Tyagi and Mrs. Usha Chauhan attended the session and contributed to the discussions on enhancing student safety.

                             These manuals are designed for teachers, parents, non-teaching staff, and peer educators, aiming to enhance awareness and implementation of child protection measures.

                            The launch was graced by a distinguished panel, including Mr. Sanjay  from the Ministry of Education, Mr. Rahul, Chairperson of CBSE, Dr. Pragya, Academic Director at CBSE, Dr. Pramod Grover, Director of the National Science Centre, along with Mr. Biswajit. Their presence underscored the importance of this initiative in fostering a safe educational environment.

                            The event included an insightful session focused on the POCSO Act, legal literacy, and psychosocial well-being. Participants engaged in activities and discussions that provided in-depth knowledge about the POCSO Act, emphasizing its relevance in safeguarding children both within and outside school premises.

                            The outcomes of this session will be implemented in our school to strengthen the framework for student safety, reinforcing the commitment to protect children and fostering a secure educational atmosphere. Through this initiative, we aim to create a more informed and vigilant community dedicated to the well-being of all the students.

                              HAND HYGIENE AWARENESS PROGRAM

                               

                              On October 18th, 2024, Arwachin International School organised a Hand Hygiene Awareness Program in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), India. The program was aimed at educating young students about the importance of hand hygiene, especially in light of the global health challenges. The event saw the active participation of the students from Class 1.

                               

                              The session was conducted by Ms. Moromi Chika, Mr. Ken Kunieda, and Dr. Tulika Bhattacharya from JICA. They introduced the children to JICA’s “Acchi Aadat” (Good Habit) campaign, which focuses on spreading awareness about hygiene practices in everyday life.

                               

                              The program commenced with an introductory session where the team from JICA explained the significance of hand hygiene. This was followed by an engaging video featuring the popular character “Hello Kitty,” which demonstrated the proper techniques of handwashing. The children were delighted to watch the video and eagerly followed along as the instructors demonstrated handwashing techniques in real life.

                               

                              The interactive session allowed the students to participate actively, and the team guided them through the steps of thorough handwashing. Towards the end of the program, JICA representatives distributed nail clippers and soap to all the students and staff as a part of their initiative to encourage good hygiene practices.

                               

                              Overall, it was an informative and enriching session that emphasised the importance of hand hygiene in a fun and interactive manner. Both students and staff gained valuable insights from the session, making it a memorable and impactful experience.

                                On 15th October, 2024 Arwachin International School organized the Inter-House Mathematics Quiz Competition for the students of classes 3-5 with the objective of fostering students' analytical and problem-solving skills. The quiz served as a platform to test students’ mathematical aptitude and encourage them to apply their knowledge to real-world problems. Students participated and showcased their mathematical proficiency through an array of challenging questions.

                                The format of the quiz entailed three rounds and the various types of questions triggered the curious minds and made it a learning event.

                                The result of the competition is as follows:

                                  On 15 October 2024, a French workshop was organized at Alliance Française de Delhi by Dr. Preeti Bhutani, the renowned author of Mon Passeport and Flambeau of UNISEC Publication. The event aimed to enhance students understanding of the French language through interactive learning.

                                  The workshop commenced with a phonetics lesson. Dr. Bhutani introduced key sounds in the French language. Students actively participated by providing examples, making the session engaging and educational. Following the phonetics lesson, a question-and-answer session was held, allowing students to ask Dr. Bhutani about her experiences and insights as a writer.

                                  To conclude the workshop, students were awarded medals and certificates for their participation, while teachers received certificates of appreciation. Overall, the workshop was a wonderful experience, fostering a love for the French language and literature among the students.

                                    “Every day the sun rises to give us a message that darkness will always be beaten by light and light is good from whatever lamp it shines.”

                                    To emphasize the significance of celebrating festivals, a special assembly on Dussehra, the festival that resonates the conquest of good over evil was presented by the students of Arwachin International School on October 9th, 2024.

                                    The assembly commenced with an invocation followed by a sonorous choir who sang bhajan ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’.  It was followed by an invigorating speech explaining the significance of the festival. The students then enthusiastically presented a heartwarming rendition of a fabulous tale of exile, struggle, loss and redemption of Lord Rama. A rhythmic poem ‘Vijaydashmi ka parv” was also recited by the children which gave a vivid description of the festival. Various melodious tunes were also played on the instruments leaving the audience spell bound. Children also rhythmically tapped their feet to the tunes of medley of various Lord Rama’s and lord Hanuman’s bhajans and invoked the blessings of Lord Rama.

                                    The school principal, Mrs Bhatnagar appreciated the efforts of the students and emphasized that this day is considered not only the victory of good over evil but the victory of mankind.

                                      The activity was a resounding success, with students actively collaborating and sharing ideas. The final brochures were not only informative but also visually striking, demonstrating the students' hard work and creativity.

                                       

                                      Additionally, this activity promoted important skills such as creativity, cultural awareness and time management, as students worked diligently to complete their activity.

                                                WWF-INDIA is a challenge with the aim to provide a platform for schools across the world to provide learning opportunities to children around environmental education in an interactive and child-friendly approach. The competition was held amongst 180 schools. It was a vibrant and an enriching event that showcased the enthusiasm of the students of Arwachin International School in the field of environmental education. Round 1 was the Classroom Challenge. It was held in school amongst the students of classes VI-IX resulting in the selection of top 30 classroom challengers. On 11 September 2024, WWF-INDIA Round 2 was held online for the selected students leading to the selection of top two students: Manasvi (VI C) and Devanshi Garg (IX C) for Round 3, the State Level Challenge. Their participation was a valuable and inspiring experience for them. The top 30 classroom challengers, 2 State- level challengers and the Teacher Co-ordinator: Ms. Heena, were felicitated with the participation certificates. The competition was an enriching opportunity for the all.

                                                    On 9 October, 2024, the Foundational Wing celebrated Dusshera. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a melodious song by the students of Class 1. The assembly was followed by a series of wonderful presentations by the students.

                                                    The students of  UKG presented a skit to show why do we celebrate Dusshera. It was followed by a dance by the tiny ones of LKG. Classes 1 and 2 not only focussed on why Dusshera is celebrated but also depicted the 9 forms of Goddess Durga.  A poem on Dusshera was also recited by a child of Class 2 which focussed on the modern day evils of the society and how we should burn them to be a good human.

                                                    The assembly was concluded with the closing remarks of our respected Principal Ma’am. She praised the students for their enthusiasm and presenting a wonderful assembly.

                                                      On October 8, 2024, the students of Class VII had an exciting visit to the National Science Center. The trip was filled with fun and learning as they explored different galleries.

                                                      They first visited the Water Gallery, where they learned about the importance of water and its uses in everyday life. The interactive exhibits helped them understand water conservation and its role in nature. Next, they enjoyed the Science Fun Gallery, where they explored science experiments and activities that demonstrated various scientific principles in a playful way. Finally, they visited the Water Life Gallery, where they were fascinated by the display of marine life and underwater ecosystems.

                                                      After exploring the galleries, the students headed to the canteen to relax and enjoy some delicious food. It was a day filled with knowledge and enjoyment, and the students returned with new learnings and wonderful memories.

                                                        We are thrilled to announce that Arwachin International school secured the 1st runner-up position in the recent   quiz competition held at St. Thomas School, Loni Ghaziabad, on 4 October 2024. This event showcased the remarkable talent and knowledge of students from various schools, and we are proud of our team’s outstanding performance. Mayank Tomar of class X and Anshul Sharma of class IX participated in this competition and has made all of us so proud of their performance.

                                                        The competition was structured in several rounds, covering a wide range of topics including Science, Mathematics, and Technology. It was both challenging and engaging, pushing participants to think critically and apply their knowledge creatively. This accomplishment highlights our students' hard work and dedication, and they were recognized with awards, including trophy, certificate, handmade painting, diary and a cash price of Rs. 5000. The experience has motivated our students to pursue further academic challenges and deepen their understanding of IT, Science, and Mathematics.

                                                          “Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening to words but by experiences in the environment.” - Dr. Maria Montessori An educational trip to The Zoo was organized on 1st October, 2024 for the students of Classes 1 and 2.The purpose of this trip was to provide the students with a captivating learning experience, merging enjoyment with valuable insights into animal kingdom. Children were curious to see the animals with their young ones. They experienced the vast diversity within the animal kingdom and gained knowledge from informative discussions. The educational trip to Zoo proved to be a successful blend of entertainment and learning. The experience not only complemented classroom teachings but also inspired a sense of curiosity and respect for the natural world.

                                                            On World Heart Day, 31 NCC cadets from classes VII to XII of Arwachin International School, Unit-5DBN, participated in a 3 km marathon.  Cabinet Minister, Mr. Kiran Rijuju, was the esteemed chief guest.

                                                            Organized by Primus Super Speciality Hospital, Delhi, the event emphasized the importance of cardiovascular health. It was inspiring to see healthcare professionals and patients unite to promote heart health. 

                                                            Principal of Arwachin International School, Mrs. Ruchira Bhatnagar, praised the students for their participation.

                                                             Lt. Dinesh Chand Papnay motivated the cadets to give their best.

                                                              COMPETITION

                                                              On 3 October 2024, Indian Music Inter-Class  Competition was held for Classes 1-2. The aim of the competition was  to celebrate the rich musical culture of our country. It was a vibrant and culturally enriching event that showcased the talent and enthusiasm of our students in the field of Indian classical and traditional music. The judges of the competition were Ms.Anushka and Mrs. Shivani Sharma. At AIS, holistic growth and development is given prime importance. The children had a great time listening to the various melodies. The competition was a great success and was appreciated by everyone. After the, Our Co-ordinator,                   

                                                              Ms . Natasha Sharma  announced the results and praised the students and teachers for their brilliant performances.
