A VISIT TO AN OLD AGE HOME

As we grow older, we must cherish the time we have with our elders, for they are the keepers of our history and the wisdom of our past." On January 24, 2025, a group of students, accompanied by Mrs. Sen and Mrs. Mishra, visited the Aashirwad Old Age Home in Karkardooma, Delhi. We spent quality time interacting with and meeting the elderly residents. As a gesture of kindness, we gifted them with blankets and other essential items, which brought joy and smiles to their faces. The visit was a heartwarming experience that fostered a deeper connection with the elderly. We left with a newfound appreciation for the value of caring for and showing compassion to our senior citizens.

                    EXAMINATION STRESS

Arwachin International School organized a counseling session on Examination Anxiety on 20th January 2025 for students of classes 9 to 12 where the school counselor, Mrs. AafreenSarfaraz guided students with some tips for identifying and dealing with exam related stress and anxiety. Efforts were made to promote a healthier outlook on exams.

Exams are often seen as a major source of stress for students, based on the perception that academic performance heavily influences future opportunities. The pressure to excel, combined with the fear of failure, can leave children feeling overwhelmed, impacting their well-being and performance.

It's essential to shift this narrative and create a positive atmosphere where exams are viewed as opportunities for growth rather than obstacles. By fostering healthy competition, supporting emotional well-being, and valuing effort over results, we can motivate students and reduce the stress surrounding exams.

We hope to shift the focus from exam fear to celebration, fostering confidence, well-being, and lifelong learning while promoting mental and emotional health.
