Indian music club report 2018-19

Music in India began as an indispensable part of socio-religious life .The Indian music has a lot of varieties such as  Indian Classical musicFolk music, Hindi bollywood songs, and Indian PopIndian Classical music is divided into Hindustani music and Carnatic. Thus music is an integral part of the curriculum of Arwachin International School.

 The Indian Music Club  students are encouraged to explore their talent in the  vocal music. Throughout the year, the students participate in various cultural activities and events organized in the school which provide them an amazing platform to brush up their unique skills.

The Objectives of the Indian Music Club

  • Facilitating the basic understanding of the use of technology in music and music education.
  • Attainment of basic knowledge of the Keyboard, Tabla and Harmonium.
  • Providing the basic and advanced knowledge in theory.
  •  Encouraging the acquirement of the knowledge and the understanding of basic and advanced historical musical styles.

The Indian Music Club is conducted once a week for all the classes from 1 to 10 and is divided into three groups.

 The first group includes the students from classes 1 to 3. There are total 31 students in this club. They are made to learn the basics of the music in a fun way and is enjoyed thoroughly by them. Apart from the basic vocal skills, they are also taught the basics of the classical instrument TABLA. The teachers of this club are Mrs.Rohatgi , Mr.Sagar and Ms.Deepshikha.

The second group of the club comprises of the young students from classes 4 to 6.There are 26 students in all  These aspiring singers understand the technicality of the SARGAM and ALANKARS. The teachers of this club are Mrs.Rohatgi & Mrs.Poonam Ahuja.

The third group of the club consists of the passionate Arwachinians  from classes  7to 10.There are total 29 students in all .They learn different forms of Vocal music. The teachers of this club are Mrs.Rohatgi & Mrs.Vandana Jain.

The second group of club comprises of the young students of classes 4 to 6.There are 9 students.  These aspiring singers understand the technicality of the SARGAM and ALANKARS. The teachers of this club are Mrs.Rohatgi & Mrs.Ritu Arora.

The Third group of the club consists of the passionate Arwachinians of classes 7 to 10.There are total 14 students. They learn different forms of vocal music. The teachers of this club are Mrs.Rohatgi & Ms.Princy.

The music of India includes multiple varieties such as :  Indian classical music, folk music, Filmi, and Indian pop. India's classical music tradition, includes Hindustani music and Carnatic. Music in India began as an indespensible part of socio-religious life thus music is an integral part of the curriculum of Arwachin International School.

 With this objective “The Indian Music Club” students are not only encouraged to explore their talent in music- instrumental as well as vocal but are also provided with an amazing platform to brush their unique skills. Throughout the year, the Indian Music students participate in all the cultural activities and events organized in the school.

GOAL: Students develop a background in music and musicianship that prepares them for a wide range of further educational activities that include music as a component.

Apart from the basic vocal skills, they are also taught the basics of the classical instrument TABLA. The teachers of this club are Mrs.Rohatgi & Mr.Sagar.

The second group of club comprises of the young students of classes 4 to 6.  These aspiring singers understand the technicality of the SARGAM and ALANKARS. The teachers of this club are Mrs.Rohatgi & Mrs.Walia.

The Third group of the club consists of the passionate Arwachinians of classes 7 to 10. They learn different forms of vocal and the classical instruments. The teachers of this club are Mrs.Rohatgi & Ms.Ginny.
